Balloons: Behind The Scenes

In Film, Photography on August 14, 2012 by eongxien Tagged: , , ,

When I was in a band, there were 1001 things to worry about when you perform live. What if you drop your pick mid-song? What if you screw up that tough solo? What if the audience doesn’t like you? But there’s always an advice floating around – don’t forget to have fun.

The mantra is applicable to anywhere, even in photography. Unless you’re on a serious assignment, you could always sneak in a bit of fun. Having that said, I’ve read elsewhere that there are people who are on business assignments and after getting the safe shots, tried experimenting with some fun and relaxed shots with the client. The client ended up liking them. Well, if they don’t… at least you tried something different.

My point is, if you’re doing what you’re passionate about – be it music, photography, performing arts or sports – always try to have a good time doing it. After all, you’re doing something you love, make it a point to keep it interesting.

The shots on this post were taken during/after we got the shots in this series. Well actually, I was trying to finish the roll of film and rather than shooting random strangers/sceneries, why not do this?

Oh, and what do you do when you have some unused balloons? You pass the joy to someone else. =)
